Six of Decherd's past Mayors were honored in a ceremony Friday May 29 at Decherd City Hall. The families of the past Mayors were given momentos from the city and plaques were placed on benches at the John L. Sanders Park and the Hank Weddington Park. The benches are to help remind people of the selfless duty that these people played in helping Decherd grow through the years. The City of Decherd salutes it' Mayors and Aldermen through the years to help us keep a growing community.

Improving the Park
The picture above contains people that have assisted in the upgrading of the Hank Weddington Park that is beginning. With contributions from Citizens, Swann Equipment, Russell Barnett Ford, and Home Depot, there is going to be a new look at the park.
Fencing, upgrading of the play area, flowers, and a new inclosed pavilion, to name a few. The park will be more user friendly and useful for all.
